FAMILY REUNION

Well, what a day! This year it was Angela and Shawna who put together the family reunion. They did a great job. Shawna organized the food and Angela organized the games. I have alot of great pictures thanks to my favorite son in law who has a natural talent and needs to share it. (do it for a paid hobby) He is AWESOME!!!! Thanks Adrian! Here are a few of my favorite of my kids and grandkids. It was hard to pick.

The best part of picknics are the cookies.
Pick your pole.
Angela making sure nobody falls into the lake.
Grandpa spent the day fixing kid's poles.
Aidan showing off the big one.

Angela trying to see if Jonah ever gets full. This went on all day!

Grandma teaching kids how to pop caps on a rock. Amara was quite good at it.
Josiah and Jonah having a father and son moment. Incredible.
Now for a son and father moment.
Amara saving the worms for pets. Grandpa let her keep two.
Aidan and Jonah having a quiet time on the blanket.
Two cousins that had a great day. Thanks Angela and Shawna.
I add the following although we didn't take pictures. Sunday we took Adria, Amara, and Aidan to Sea World and had a great day. One highlight was Aidan and 2 Baluga whales trying to breed. Luckily I didn't have to explain because they were not successful while we were viewing (very shortly when we realized what was happening) Adria explained to Aidan before a laughing crowd how you can tell boy whales from girls because boys have tally whackers and girls don't. I was glad to not have them asking me any questions. That's a trip for mom and dad. After a fun day of exploring God's wonderful creatures we went to the beach for calzones at our favorite seaside restaurant. Then we went down to the water and the kids had a great time wading in the water and yelling and running. Adria buried her feet in the sand and started dancing and singing to the lord making up her own songs. She was all by herself and I left her alone. She sang for a good half hour. I moved up the beach with Aidan who decided he was the boss of the waves. He stood at the shore and said, "Oh no, here comes big one!" Then he would throw out both hands and yell, "STOP" When it didn't he would run from the wave and laugh. Then he would start all over. Amara kept throwing wet sand and playing in the surf and writing in the sand. I love the beach at night. We ended the night singing and dancing up the beach all of us singing our own songs. Adria said, "Grandma, you can dance! You look like a teenager." I felt like one too. I write this so I don't forget one of the best days of my life. I wish Adrian had been there for pictures.

Jonah to the rescue!

Is this the cutest little fireman you ever saw? Jonah came to visit last night and I decided to try this on him. It is a size 18 months. Just a little snug but he still makes one handsome fireman.
Just had to show him off one more time.
Today, Amara and Aidan were playing house. Amara kept trying to teach Aidan to cook but he wouldn't pay attention. She kept saying, "Aidan, you're never going to learn to cook if you don't watch!" She was using her teacher voice. She learned that in Kindergarten.Aidan didn't last long but Amara cooked for an hour.

Thursday blessings

Thursday I got to play with Jonah all day and he got to spend the night so his mom and dad could go out on a date. We went to Tucson and Nogales with him on Friday. Grandpa found Jonah a new pacifier that was huge. He loved it!! We met up with Steph and Joe for a late dinner. Jonah was so glad to see them. He just loved and loved on them. Jonah and I got caught in a monsoon and lightning hit a power pole so the lights went out for a few hours at the strip mall where we were shopping. We were in JC Penny which didn't have any windows. The sales staff were evacuating every one out of the store by cell phone light. I ofcourse am at the very back of the store and am trying to push a stroller around racks I can't see. Jonah did not like that at all. He did like the rain though.
Just a picture from Sunday morning of Adria and Amara sleeping in

Yeah Sunday!

Looking for the juciest.
Caleb is not interested in fishing.
Uncle Michael with his lucky pole.
Adria going for the shortcut. Victory!!!This won't scare the fish away. The girl in orange is not ours. You gotta know her dad's not too happy with them right now.

Well the kids spent the night Saturday so their Mom and Dad could get away for their third anniversary. We spent the morning getting around by playing clothing store, beauty parlor, restaurant, and ofcourse a bus ride to church. After church Jim took Adria and Amara fishing. Leanna and Caleb, and Mike went also. Adria and Amara both caught a fish. I worked around the house all day trying to get ready for Jonah's first birthday. Aidan helped me. I didn't get as much done as I had planned. I should have gone fishing.

It was a long day.

Aidan is so funny! He loves to play with Grandma. Today we played puzzles, which he is very good at, and then we played horses. He got the pretty fluffy pink one and gave me the ugly brown one with a band-aid. He still takes wonderful 3 hour naps. Caleb missed his mommy today. She had to work a long shift and even though he is a perfect baby he managed to give me grief. Grandpa came home and got handed the little terror. Mommy came home at 8:00 and he snuggled in and hasn't let out a peep since. Even at that age they know. Aidan loves any kind of airplane.

Proof!

Caleb's 6 week checkup.

Caleb went to the doctor today and got another shot. He weighs 13 lbs 6oz. Mommy feeds him well. This time he did cry when he got his shot and stared at the nurse. Poor baby.
